Lake GIlmer

Located on the Cherokee Trace, Lake Gilmer is a renowned crappie and bass lake tucked away in the Piney Woods. Lake Gilmer Park and Kelsey Creek Sanctuary is ideal for family and group gatherings with picnic tables and covered cook-out spaces. There is also a handicap accessible walking trail, hiking trails, fishing pier, swimming area, volleyball court, and swings.

Los Pinos Winery

Los Pinos makes the best wines possible from grapes grown at their vineyards. The vineyard is a haven where patrons can relax on the deck overlooking the vineyards or inside the tasting room while listening to live jazz and feasting on cuisine provided by Chef Enam Chowdhury. Tours are also available.

The Links at Lands End

The Links is a resort style destination featuring a challenging 18 hole golf course located along the shores of Lake Fork. VIsitors can spend the day on the lake or playing golf and then unwind with friends and family at Jackay's Pub. Stay and Play packages are also available at the Lodges.

Thomas Falls Outdoor Adventures and Event Center

Zip line through the piney trees, over a sixty foot cliff and across a 7-acre lake. Enjoy nature walks through towering trees or water obstacles on the lake. Cabins and the pavilion will help take advantage of breathtaking sunsets. Check out their website for year-round events.

Barnwell Mountain Recreation Center

Located high atop the Barnwell Mountains of East Texas is one of the state's most exciting motorized off-road parks. Opened in 2000, this Texas Motorized Trails Coalition (TMTC) property offers dirt bikes, UTVs and OHVs 1,850 acres of pure delight. There are 27+ miles of single track trails for dirt bikes and many more miles of challenging trails for UTVs and OHVs. There is a 16 mile Adventure Trail for the dirt biker or ATV rider looking for a less demanding ride and there are trails that even the novice UTV and OHV riders will enjoy!

Burks Quail Run

Over 25,000 of the best flight conditioned birds including Bob-White Quails, Pheasant, and Chukars are raised in their own flight pen. Guided hunts along with dogs and lodging are available for a day, overnight, or four days. Dressed and packaged quails can also be ordered.
